Currently you are a B.Tech Student and thinking about future ?

Here in this article you can get an idea that will help you to build your carrier.
This article provide some ways that you follow after your B.Tech degree.



B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and BE (Bachelor of Engineering) is an Undergraduate Academic Degree conferred after completion of a three-year, a four-year or even a five-year (such as in Nigeria) program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-level institution. B.Tech. is considered to be a skill-oriented course. The degree is conferred in the Commonwealth Nations, the United States and elsewhere .


In India, 

B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and BE (Bachelor of Engineering) both are same degrees and offered in engineering disciplines.
Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering qualifications include the following:

• 3 years BE/B.Tech after Diploma in Engineering..

• 4 years BE/B.Tech after class 12..

Degree is regulated under the aegis of University Grants Commission of India (UGC), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admission is through an engineering entrance examination.

There are total 4282 Engineering college in India. So large number of students passed every year.

You can choose any one from below 3 way after your graduate::

(A) Higher Studies.

(B) Jobs.

(C) Starting a Business.


(A) Higher Studies::                     

           Higher studies always help you to acquire knowledge, skills and increase your overall quality. There are a lot of opportunity for higher studies after B.Tech. You can do MBA, M.Tech, M.Sc, Phd, etc.

Some important entrance exams are described below.

1.CAT(Common Admission Test):

                                                      CAT means Common Admission Test. If you want to get an admission into an IIM ( IIMs offer Post Graduation courses like FPM, PGP, PGP-FABM, PGPX, FDP, AFP) then you have to crack CAT. There is also the other alternative called GMAT.

Eligibility:- Any Graduation degree with 50 percent from a recognized college or University. 

There is no Limit in attempting CAT. You can Attempt it as many times you want. 

2.GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test):

                                                      GMAT is an online test conducted for admissions into various management programmes offered by B-Schools all around the globe. The exam tests a candidate ’s analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in English to be used for the stated purpose.

Eligibility:- A qualified bachelor degree from a recognized institute.

3.GRE (Graduate Record Examination):

                                                                                                          GRE is an international standardized test required for admission into Graduate Schools in the United States of America. This is a very important exam if you want to study abroad.

4.JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test):

                                                Is considered to be a National Eligibility Test (NET) by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB). Aspirants who are seeking admission in PhD or Integrated Ph.D programmes in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology need to give JEST exam.
B.Tech also eligible for this examination.

5.JAM (Joint Admission Test):

                                             is an all-India online entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) each year on a rotational basis on behalf of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. It is for joint M.Sc Ph.D and M.Tech also.

Eligibility criteria, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).


6.GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering): 

                                              it is one of the important and almost mandatory exam for engineering students. This exam is important for both higher studies and job also. By this exam we can do joint M.tech Ph.D degree at top engineering collages in India or get PSU Jobs.

Eligibility:- B.Tech or BE.


(B) JOBS::

    There are a lot of opportunity for jobs after B.Tech. As it is a graduate degree you can get a good and honourable job like a group A govt. Officer.
Details of Some important exams are provide below. By cracking one of then you can get a good job.

1. Placement:: 

    It is one of the most popular way to get job for maximum Engineering students. Various Company are come to hire students. You must have some additional knowledge for this type of job, like programming language (Java, C++, etc.) and good communication skills.

2. ESE (Engineering Service Examination)::

         If you looking for Govt. Job as a Engineer then you try this one. ESE is conducted by UPSC. If you clear this exam then you have very bright career.

3. GATE:

   This exam is also for PSUs job.
    so GATE is very important exam for an Engineering Students.

4. OTHERS JOB::

     you also eligible for below jobs. 
  
(i) UPSC
(ii) CDS
(iii) CGL
(iv) Indian Navy
(v) AFCAT
(vi) State Level Exam
(vii) Others



(C) Starting a Business::

               It is totally depend on your Well planning and good luck. If you want to become your own boss and you have good business plan ,then go ahead. It is not mandatory but if you do MBA then it will be more profitable for your business.
